Here at Norfolk Wine School we are passionate about good beer too! From locally crafted ales made by independent breweries to artisan international styles such as American craft or the Lambic beers of Belgium, we appreciate them all.
Form Porter to Pale Ale there's a huge array of beers to choose from but do you know what makes them different? Our courses are designed for all beer drinkers, from anybody who enjoys a glass beer and wants to broaden their beer horizon to amateur enthusiasts who want to learn more about the nations favourite tipple.
Our programme of beer tastings has been developed by one of the UK's leading Beer Sommeliers and you'll learn how beer is made and how different types of malts and hops affect the way a beer tastes. At every tasting we try to taste as wide a range of beers as possible including traditional hoppy British real ales, the Lagered style popular in the Czech Republic, German beers, Belgian beers, Craft beers from modern-day American micro breweries and many more. You'll also learn what makes a good pint so you know whether the beer you are buying in your local pub is as good as it should be.
If you thought beer was just 'brown and bitter' then think again. There's literally a whole world of beer to choose from. Our evening introduction to beer tasting will help you
