The Great Norfolk Wine School Grape Off; Old World vs New
Grape Off is our brand new concept in wine tasting which pitches the Old World against the New World as you get to try 5 different grape varieties and 10 wines in total during a great fun, informal and interactive evening tasting.
Do you prefer Cabernet Sauvignon in the classic left bank Bordeaux style, tight and lean and designed to age, or do you prefer the up-front fruity charm of a hot climate Californian Cabernet? Have you tried an Austrian Riesling? How does it compare to a Clare Valley Riesling from Australia? Join us at Grape Off and decide for yourself.
The evening will be presented by 2 passionate wine hosts, each making the case for their chosen style of some of the world's greatest grapes. Each host will present a wine from their chosen category and then tutor you through a tasting before you get to vote anonymously for your favourite. At the end of the evening, the votes for the New and Old World will be counted and the winner revealed!
This month the hosts of Grape Off will be our very own Chief Wine Tutor, Jeremy Dunn and James Strutt, a member of the Majestic Wine Team in Norwich.
Professional ISO tasting glasses and all tasting materials including tasting sheets, table water and water biscuits are provided.
