Evening Tasting, A Taste of the America's
Welcome our American themed evening wine tasting at which we will taste some of the best wines that the American continent has to offer. The America's are hot - and we'll explain how they can grow grapes that make some of the world's most delicious and concentrated wines. You'll taste a couple of Californian classics before we explore the beautiful South, from Maipo to Mendoza.
Part 2: Chile
Blessed with a climate that is just perfect for grape growing, we will reveal the major influences on wine styles and explore exciting up and coming wine regions such as the cool Limari or Casablanca Valleys as well as the powerhouse region of Chilean wine, the Central Valley, that produces some of the most consistent and best value for money wines in the world.
Part 3: Argentina
Finally we hop over the Andes into Argentina which has an entirely different climate, much hotter and arid. The Argentinians have perfected the art of making a delicously aromatic white wine from a local grape variety called Torrontes and we'll explain how such a hot, arid climate can make such a clean, crisp and fresh white wine. Of course, Argentina's most famous grape is Malbec and this tasting includes a mini Malbec Masterclass so you can really get under the skin of the Malbec grape and explore subtleties in style.
