Fizz n Chips Friday; Champagne and Sparkling Wine with a Fish and Chip Supper
Enjoy a decadent evening of fine Sparkling wine served with a fish & chip supper at St Andrews Brewhouse in Norwich.
First, we'll share the story of the origin of Sparkling wine. Have you ever wondered how the bubbles get into the bottle? Want to know what different terms like 'NV' on the bottle actually mean? During the evening you'll taste 6 different fantastic fizz's including a regional French Fizz, a 1er Cru Champagne, a delicious Cava, a light & lively Prosecco, a Champagne look-a-like from the New World and a fine English Fizz and learn what makes them all different.
Then you'll enjoy a portion of lightly fried fish in a tempura style batter served with chunky chips and we'll explain why Sparkling wine and deep-fried food is one of the most amazing food and wine pairings. Finally, you'll get to vote which wine you think works best with your Fish & Chips.
Professional ISO tasting glasses, all tasting materials including tasting shetes and table water are provided as are all condiments for your meal. We can offer a fried vegetable alternative to those who don't eat fish; please request via e-mail at the time of booking.
